Recognised as one of the countries Elite players for her age group, Emma was invited to attend the Liburd Elite Girls Camp last weekend by Kenrick Liburd, the Team GB under 18 women’s head coach. This is just the start for Emma who looks forward to being included in other invitation only events, developing her talent further and leading to other exciting opportunities.
Emma has been playing basketball since the age of 8 and has already gained an impressive career in the sport. Currently playing for the Vale Vipers under 18 Girls Team in the South Wales and English National Leagues as point guard, Emma also plays for Cardiff City Women in Basketball England’s Division 2 National League.
Representing Wales in a number of age groups, Emma has also captained the National Team. In addition to competing in the UK she has competed for Wales twice in Northern Ireland; in Poland and also at the FIBA small nations European Championships in 2019 in Moldova.
Emma will be next be competing at the UK Tri-Nations tournament in January 2022 where Team GB selectors will select players to compete for a place in the 2022 GB teams.
