  • dIGITAL lEADERS

    Digital Leaders lead a meeting once a week and are responsible for:
    – Testing new equipment
    – Leading assemblies for safe use of technology
    – Supporting school events
    – Leading pupil and staff training
    – Run fund raising activities to buy new equipment

    MINECRAFT CLUB

    During lunchtime breaks Years 7-13 have access to P18 computer room to develop their Minecrafting skills, and compete in competitions.

    CYBER DISCOVERY

    An external programme form CyberFirst, aimed at improving pupils’ cyber skills. Pupils’ complete online challenges, and if successful progress through the online competition.

    MATHEMATICS MORE ABLE CLUB

    During lunchtimes, pupils learn additional skills and practise problem solving techniques as preparation for the UK Maths Challenges.

    GCSE/GCE DROP-IN SESSION

    Both Mathematics and Computing offer additional support after school for pupils studying qualifications. These sessions are to allow pupils to seek advice and guidance with any of the elements of the courses they are studying.

    TRIPS

    We aim to enhance pupils experience of Computing in the real world by arranging external events. Most recently taking a group of pupils to compete in the Cardiff Metropolitan University Hackathon. We have also arranged for pupils to attend online work experience events with Speakers for Schools.
